The Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) is a standardized way of quantifying the environmental impact of a product or system.
The declarations include information on the environmental impact of raw material procurement, energy use and efficiency, material and chemical content, emissions to air, soil, and water, and waste generation. The EPD is very similar to a product's nutrition information label.
The International EPD® System is a global environmental declaration program.
